NEW FEATURE: Suggest Routes

Anyone in the office can instantly identify the best routing for a new customer, will call or emergency delivery. After approving the suggestion, print a one page map for the driver.

Suggest Routes is easy to use, but there’s many additional tricks shown in the video. The process is similar for new customers, will calls and emergency delivery with two major differences: the initial search criteria and filtering the results. If the account isn’t already in Headlight, you can add the delivery or look up the street address instead.suggest-routes1

Headlight will use the map center instead of the customer location. You can take advantage of this for existing accounts or will calls that aren’t pinned exactly right. Just look up the customer and drag the map to center it over the actual delivery spot.

The other difference is date range. Headlight will use all available routes and dates for its suggestions. That usually makes senses for new customers, but emergency deliveries might need service sooner. The Timeframe dropdown lets you pick a smaller time window – say “Next 3 Days” – for the suggestions.

Usage

  1. Lookup an account and select Suggest Routes from the menu.suggest-routes2
